Motion 2011/12-15 :Final Resolution of Fact Finding Committee Report	03 July 2012 Moved by Pat Asher and seconded by Les Shockey and dated 3 July 2012, the motion reads: "I move the adoption of the following resolution: Whereas, the Advisory Board has reviewed the Report submitted by the Fact Finding Committee pursuant to Motion 07-12, changes to State and Federal laws enacted subsequent to that Report, changes to the historical structure of The Project that would be required to pursue 501(c)3 status with the IRS, asked for comments from the membership; and Whereas, we have concluded that changing the legal status of The USGenWeb Project is neither appropriate nor desirable at this time, be it Resolved: that The USGenWeb Project should and will remain an affiliated group of independent State and local web sites, and per our Bylaws, an unincorporated, and unregistered, non-profit association which does not solicit financial contributions."
