| SESSION OPEN |
1 September 2012 I want to take a moment to thank each and every Board member that has served this term. Each of you demonstrated unflagging support for each other, for the Project, its volunteers and to the entire genealogical community as we dealt with the issues presented this term. Thank you all for doing a very hard job very well. It has been a pleasure to serve with all of you and I look forward to working with you all again this coming year. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Suzanne Shephard and Jeff Kemp respectively for their service to the Project in their role as Board Secretary and Web Manager. Their dedication and service to this Project is a credit to each of them. A great big thank you also goes out to all of the Standing Committee volunteers. The volunteers who serve on the committees go the extra mile to assure that the duties of their respective committees are carried out to serve and benefit the entire USGenWeb Project community. The 2011-2012 USGenWeb Project Advisory Board session is adjourned. | Motion 2012/13-01 Motion to Sustain the Special Rules |
4 September 2012 With the conclusion of the National election, even without a change in National Coordinator of the USGenWeb Project, a motion to sustain the Special Rules is required according to Section 1 of the Special Rules at http://usgenweb.org/volunteers/special-rules.shtml "SECTION I. SUSTAINING/CHANGING THE SPECIAL RULES. These Special Rules will be sustained by motion/voting when a change in permanent National Coordinator occurs. These rules may be amended or revised by the members in accordance with USGenWeb Bylaws, Section VIII, Advisory Board Procedures at http://usgenweb.org/volunteers/bylaws.shtml May I hear a motion to sustain the Special Rules located here. http://usgenweb.org/volunteers/special-rules.shtml 5 September 2012 Moved by Les Shockey and seconded by Bill Oliver, the motion reads: "I move to sustain the Special Rules located here: http://usgenweb.org/volunteers/special-rules.shtml Is there any discussion on this motion?
