005-Special/Local Elections

  1. There are always three (3) members of the EC that volunteer for State/Special Project Elections:
  2. The time period for nominations and voting are set by the SE Committee head and the Project Coordinator. Three (3) to five (5) days is usual.

  3. The SE Committee members will be subscribed to the state/project mail list.
    • You can introduce yourself and say hello.
    • If not a member of the SE Committee, the DM should be alerted to watch for new or updated registrations and to process them promptly.
    • The SE Committee may conduct a harvesting of the state/special project.
    • They may have a roll call at the same time.
    • The SE Committee should obtain an updated voter list for the state/special project so they will know who is eligible to vote.
  4. Voting shall be by email addressed to all SE Committee members. Each committee member will keep their own tally of the votes they receive and the individual tallies will be compared to verify the results.

  5. Any EC Member who intends to accept a nomination in an election conducted by the EC may not serve on the SE Committee for that election and will be unsubscribed from the EC List until that election is concluded.
